I brought my dog Bruno to the vet thinking he had a simple GI issue like an upset stomach or ate a piece of his toy that got stuck somewhere inside of him. He had barely been touching his food the last few days before I brought him to the vets office and had a slight dry cough. Dr. Mirzaian did a full workup and found out that Bruno actually had a heart murmur. A few chest X-rays later we found he also had pulmonary edema secondary to his heart valve issue. My heart sank. There is never a good time to lose a dog, young or old, but Bruno is not even a year old yet. We had just lost our other dog last October and I was scared of what might happen to Bruno. Dr. Mirzaian immediately got on the phone with a specialty veterinary practice in Irvine trying to see if their Cardiac specialist could see Bruno. We brought Bruno down later that night and he was seen the next day by the cardiologist. After more tests, Bruno was put on a medicine regimen and had his diet changed and he has been improving ever since. He is back to being the Bruno my family knows and loves. He is devouring his food again and playing with his friends. I cannot thank Dr. Mirzaian enough and the rest of the staff at La Verne animal clinic for everything they did for Bruno. You guys are the best.
